Samantha - Moving to a new area can be stressful. I am so glad that you feel at home at the Lincoln and that Amber has done such a great job making you feel welcomed. Thank you for the positive review and let us know if there is anything else that you need. Michael DeFrang Dir. of Marketing

The community of the lincoln is great. There are a lot of young adults living here and everyone is extremely welcoming and friendly. Besides the actual residents of the lincoln, I do have some concerns, which all tend to stem from the new management and all of the management changes. The first concern is that the management has way too many rules and curfews on the common spaces. I understand that the outdoor space can generate a decent amount of noise, but what is expected when the common space is surrounded on all 4 sides. There is even a curfew on the indoor clubhouse space. This basically means, management would prefer for the residents to have a get together, or even a party, in their units where their neighbors can be disturbed than to use the clubhouse space. I personally do not see the logic there; however, to avoid any potential fines, I will follow the rules. To clarify, I have not received a fine for any circumstance (yet). The next concern is the amount of fInes they shell out. I get that management needs to set rules and enforce them, but as a resident, I feel management has more interest in sending out fines than addressing any of the other current issues that the building encounters. These concerns are: terrible mosquitoes in the summer in the common area (and once addressed nothing was done), bike room with barely any bike racks, so the room is just a mess of tangled bikes, a parking gate that seems to never be working and a lack of security. When you sign that the lincoln, it is common sense that the area is up and coming; however, management assured the building is secure. In the last week, there has been car break ins and drugged up individuals (non-residents) roaming the parking deck. I was told when signing my lease in January that they had intentions of hiring security for the building, but that has not been the case. I am sad to see the building go "downhill", but I do think it is important that any potential resident understands what is going on. If I coils rate and review the residents, they would get many more stars, but sadly that is not the case.

The apartment inside is nice including good water pressure, sizable shower and bathroom. Appliance are GE and new paint and carpets were done when we moved in. The only complaint inside is that you have to keep the windows closed due to bugs coming inside. View is great on the side facing East St, but can be loud early in the morning and late at night due to construction across the road, trash pick up, and bar across the road that has opened since moving in. The amenities, parking lot, package pickup area, hallways and trash area all tend to be dirty. Dirtiness includes roaches found in the hallway that stay there for weeks, messy packages area, and you can be searching in 3-4 different areas for your packages. Elevator on the end of the building to package room is often broken. Also, our neighbor's car was broken into while living here. Rent to apartment also raised by 25% while apartment is undergoing renovations and elevator is broken. Guess that is what you get when you moved into one of the more affordable places in downtown.
