I waited a little over a year to post my experience with venture homes. I came in wanting to build a home from the ground up and from the get-go the cement footings for the foundation did not match the home BluePrint I selected. I felt that if I had never noticed no one of management would have been overseeing and a completely different house would have been built. Throughout the build that were always beer cans and bottles everywhere, people drinking on the job building on my home. Home was not completed at the agreed-upon date. The home however when completed was beautiful. Towards the end of the first year and it came to having small issues and repairs done they did not do a single repair! Neither Jeff Seal or his assistant Paula, I had to get a third party which is so disappointing and discouraging that the service after the sale was non-existent! I was calling them and texting them for months and just felt like I was being put on the back burner! I hope this review helps anyone considering building with Ventura homes.

Terrible. Terrible service. Terrible in how they treat people. Homes are way overpriced. They make customers feel like they dont have the money to afford one of their homes. If I could give zero stars, I would.

We apologize that that we did not live up to your expectations. As you stated in your review, you are the second homeowner. The home was built and purchased in 2016. The previous homeowner had the roof replaced after a serious hail storm by another roofing contractor. We also replaced the floors in your home and attempted to resolve the problem to your satisfaction, even though your home was no longer under warranty. We were unaware that this leak had continued until we saw this review. We wish you had reached out to us directly so we could have persisted to look for a solution to your problem. When we purchased our house it was currently under a builder warranty. A leak had been found after our option period was up (apparently this was not the first time). We were told over and over that the leak would be fixed and that the floors would be replaced. Jeff Seal's crew just put a band aide on the problem. They build a concrete footer (a huge eye sore) in the front of the house. After speaking to the original owners, they contacted Jeff Seal multiple times to fix the ongoing issue. After we purchased the house ( under the impression the leak was fixed) we noticed that the leak was still not fixed. I contacted Jeff Seal to let him know that water was still leaking into the house. He came back out and had his crew put some kind of seal (like what goes around a bath tub) on the concrete footer. He replaced the floors again, now for the 4th time in a house that was only 3 years old. Its extremely frustrating to buy a "new" house that is built poorly. I have done my due diligence as the home owner to make sure that its not a plumbing issue, or any other issue. At the end of the day its still a bad build. I also have a friend that custom built a Ventura home and she had the same problem with water leaking into her house. Its very disheartening that we spent almost $400,000 on a home that we have to pour extra money into because Jeff Seal didn't uphold his end of the deal with fixing the problem he and his crew created.
