Normally, cute spots like this are warm and welcoming. And we were so excited to celebrate a family event with a little breakfast brunch. We headed in a little after 10am on a Tuesday with a party of four and a baby, but we were hardly noticed by the greeting staff. The employee working the front didn't seem interested in seating our party, and when we asked for a table or if outside was an option (every outdoor table was open), they indicated we would need to wait. Not an issue at all. A smaller party ahead of us was seated at an 8-top, leaving a small table open (the space is fairly small, so it's usually full). We waited, only to be asked by the employee in a pretty strange tone, "So, you decided to wait?" Again, there were multiple tables, and nothing was mentioned about being short staffed, which we would have understood. We’re mellow and always try understand. Some folks have off days. Sometimes employees don’t show up. So we asked if it would help if we sat outside. No response. Just a head nod. We truly went in excited and ready to support a local business. We eventually had to leave disappointed and feeling let down. We would have loved to wait and enjoy the spot, but the way we were treated just pushed us away.

The food was good and tasty but I didn’t find the staff welcoming. I tried the Avocado toast which was different and I liked it. It felt like either they were not happy working there or they didn’t know how to treat customers.

I would not recommend this place to anyone, never had so many issues with one place. They said they don’t have a high chair which is fine but the owner’s response was extremely rude. Secondly we asked multiple times if the avocado toast was vegan and the waitress said yes and then brought the toast with eggs on it. Then took it back and it took them 30 mins to get a new one out. Lastly but not least, I got the salmon hash and got food poisoning, I was sick for two days straight and felt like I was dying! I just don’t want anyone to have the same experience.
