One of my favorite, all time go-to spots. A La Jolla icon! Delicious. Still wear my El Pescador T shirt from the 90s. HOWEVER, May never go again. 2 sandwiches. 47$ !!!!!!! Couldnt even leave a tip! Sad.
Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. We enjoyed our dinners on the patio and we're able to enjoy the sights and sounds of a Sunday San Diego evening. Get here early as it can get quite busy.
Find a better seafood shop, Ill wait! Whether youre looking for a meal or fresh fish to go you wont leave disappointed. Here were some all-stars on the menu we would recommend: fish sandwich with youre preferred fish, oyster shooters, homemade tartar sauce (can buy this to take home), watermelon lemonade (can add soju if you are looking for a mixed drink). If you want to cook the fish yourself you can expect fresh and lots of local options. The fish always tests better when its from here because of how fresh it is.
Downgrading prior 5 star review. Ingredients are good quality, fresh, service manner great, fish cook tempeture terrible. Got 2 grilled halibut plates, asked not to overcook fish that we wanted it moist, not dry. Got home and fish was overcooked and dry. Resulting in a non enjoyable meal for $30 per plate.
