New campground which has only been open for about 2 months. Good sites for large RVs, tent sites, sites with horse corrals, and yurts to rent. I stayed for nearly two weeks and explored San Diego. Wasnt very busy since people dont know about it yet. But it was getting busier every day I was there. Nice view from the hill next to the campground, beach a mile or two away, estuary with trails to explore, and the border wall to check out. There are some ranches nearby where you can hire horses to ride on the beach. The campground has potable water, flushing toilets, hot showers, stouts fire pits, and picnic tables. Also an obstacle course and corn hole and other games. Big downside is the marine airbase is a couple miles away. So noisy with the pilots in training flying in circles most of the day during the week getting their hours. Weekends, not so much. One day they flew from 8 am to 11 pm.
This campsite is raciest against black people. The camp rangers allowed a group of 5+ white males to harass and degrade me. This occurred multiple times only stopped when I came visible but the cowards went back on afterwards. There are children and families around but it's okay for a group of white men to publicly lynch a black man. It's okay to taunt dogs since animal control is nearby. Hopefully I didn't bark too loud
