To provide a few missing details & more regarding Weddings On a Whim’s decision: 1. The bride cancelled one week prior to the wedding. 2. Weddings On a Whim offered to apply the nominal retainer to a future date. This did not include a $100 administrative fee. 3. Transfer of retainers are not traditionally available within our Industry. 4. We secured the date the bride wanted and the location the bride wanted, along with our Production Team, an Officiant & a Photographer, which made them unavailable to take other weddings or other jobs that day. 5. Rather than requiring the nonrefundable balance of pay two weeks prior to the wedding (an industry standard), we agreed to be paid in full at the wedding. That, along with the last minute cancellation resulted in an impactful loss of income, as there was no time or opportunity for us to rebook the date. 6. The couple’s retainer is still available for rescheduling (minus a $100 administrative fee). 7. The repeated accusations regarding our commitment to Our Military and First Responders are unfounded. We thank this couple for their service to us and Our Country. And we wish them and their family the very best, Gayle & the Whim Team
