I am still in shock after my experience with AZ PetVet Animal Hospital at Verrado & Grooming and it has taken me a few months to process what happened. If you love your pet, you will avoid AZ PetVet Animal Hospital & Grooming On July 15th I took my 12-year-old cat Dante to this “vet” because he was not acting like himself—not eating or drinking water. They ran a ton of tests and 800 bucks later—no answers. They told me all his tests were normal and that this was an acute thing that he would get over. I took him home with some medicine they prescribed to help with his appetite. The first time I gave it to him it seemed to help a little. Then he started foaming at the mouth! I called them and they had me bring him back on July 19th. They had him most of the afternoon. More tests almost $500 more later and still no answers so I took him home. Did I mention that when I called to say my little guy was foaming at the mouth they laughed and said “oh cats just do that sometimes!” A week had gone by and Dante was still not doing well at all. I asked the vet if I should put him down and she said “oh no I’m sure he's fine.“ That didn’t sit right, so I took him to another place Blue Pearl Pet Hospital. The vet here examined him with her hands and within minutes she said that he was riddled with cancer and the foaming at the mouth was fluid in his lungs! For a week my sweet little guy had fluid in his lungs! I had no choice but to put him down. To add insult to injury I tried to get my money back that I wasted with these unnecessary tests and they are fighting me! This vet called me to try and explain why she didn't catch the cancer or the fluid in his lungs. She was rude, condescending, and unwilling to admit to her mistake. I mean on what day in vet school do you learn about fluid in the lungs? This vet at AZ PetVet Animal Hospital & Grooming is grossly incompetent and should not be treating any animals. Avoid this place !!!
