Our server, Diego, was extremely rough around the edges and was not personable at all. He had a very aggressive and belligerent demeanor and was very abrupt and bordering on rude. Did not make for a very hospitable and warm environment.

Based on the prices and ambiance, Id expect it to be a 5 star place, but it is pretty disappointing. The service is great but the food is only ok, especially for what you get. The seafood platter is $42 but is very little food and served on a tiny plate - definitely not a platter. The calamari was good but you dont get very much of that either - theres little onion rings in there that fake you out. The service is great though. Wont be back.

This is an excellent seafood restaurant surrounded by the ambiance of Old Town Alexandria. The Wharf had been one of our favorite restaurants for years. The menu prices range from moderate to high. It is well worth the check.

The seafood was extremely over cooked and dry. I was last here in 2018 and my experience was so much better. The food quality has definitely went down since then. For $45 a plate I would expect the food to be 5 stars. I am extremely disappointed. Additionally the mashed potatoes were served cold. The shrimp had a dry chalky taste to is as well.
