It's just a money grab at this point. I have been to this zoo so much growing up. It's always been great. That time is no longer.. most of the staff clearly hated being there. The animals (at least the ones we could see) looked to be miserable. Everything cost money once you got in (after entrance fee). Like one section that's for kangaroos. It was 5 bucks a person only to get in to see a few kangaroos and a little gold panning things for kids. Which also cost more money(7 to 10 dollors). The butterfly exhibition also cost more money (3 per person). It's not made for more than like 5 people at a time nor do they make sure no butterflies are on you when you leave. Broken metal butterfly sculptures lying in front of some benches. The whole zoo was kinda filthy. The sea lion show is like 5 mins of pre record facts with a few tricks ( nothing like it use to be). It's clear this is not a zoo for animals or fun and has became nothing more than a money grab. I would recommend to not go here for atleast 5 years.

It was ok I didnt expect the swimming area or the playground. I wouldve liked to see more animals.

It's the best place in Memphis but, they permanently got rid of stingray bay & the dinosaur exhibit & you can almost never see the otters.
