Its been 3 hours and I am still waiting to see the doctor. My dog is in pain thought this was an ER. Need more staff to be working so they can keep their clients happy.

They tried to take advantage of me during the difficult time of having my 17 year old cat euthanized and tried to charge me way more than what they initially estimated. My senior cat had suddenly made a turn for the worst and was ready to go, so we finally made that difficult decision. It was shortly after normal vet hours, so my partner called since they were open 24 hours. My partner talked to a gentleman there and was given an estimate based on services given and weight of the cat that it be less than $150 for euthanasia. We take our cat there about an hour later and they take him in while we wait in the car. A few moments later they call us and say hes ready, but it would be nearly $200. I explain I was given an estimate of less than $150. They try to say its based on weight, even though my cat was down to less than 10 pounds. They tell me all they could do was talk to the owner the next day, but that was it. I got the run around on costs all while they had my cat inside while I was stuck in my car with no other viable options. I went ahead and agreed, and we proceeded with one of the hardest times of my life and helped my Niles cross the rainbow bridge. Afterwards, the doctor said they went ahead and discounted my bill to what I was originally quoted like they went above and beyond with some extra step of the difficult process . I get estimates are just estimates and can sometimes go over with unusual circumstances, but there was nothing unusual or unpredictable with this procedure. My cat weighed less than average, there was no extra services or exams given, yet this place tried to charge me well over the estimated cost given to us over the phone an hour prior. While I cant give any review on how they take care of a animal and may be great in an emergency, so when money is no object, this place might be great, but otherwise beware of costs!

Having to let our sick fur baby go was one of the hardest things weve ever done, but I wouldnt have wanted to do it anywhere else. The staff here was kind, compassionate, and patient as we made this tough decision. They gave us as much time as we needed to say goodbye and let us stay with her until the end. We decided on cremation and within a week they had our girls ashes ready in a beautiful wooden box. We also received a clay mold of her paw print and a lock of her hair. I cant say enough good things about this hospital and its staff.

This used to be a great place that I unfortunately have spent thousands of dollars at due to my puppies eating everything including Xylitol flavored gum that is poisonous. My last visit was to just get staples put back in that one of the boys pulled out after neutering. They had a visiting vet named Flores that charged me almost $600 to do staples after I called first and was told around $350. She spoke down to me and was inflexible about treatment options or the ridiculous cost of generic medications. I doubt the office manager or lead bet will respond to my calls so I will just go to VCA. At least they are honest.
