Ive been to a lot of different states and Oklahomas DOT appears to be the worst managed in the nation. It seems they try to tackle a 1,000 projects at once instead of fixing a few at a time. Doesn't this spread resources too thinly? Wouldn't this cause project to last for many years instead of a few months? This irritates tax payers. What changes need to be made within the department to reflect a great state, and not a poorly managed one?
Stop shutting highways to 1 lane on the weekends240 to 44 shut to 1 lane no warning UNREALAt least close on ramps so people quit jumping off and getting back on while highway is a stand still letting them on.
I wish to compliment the department of transportation and the men and woman who work so hard to keep our roads clean...my mail box was taken out by one of the plows accidentally and I reported it to one of the drivers who immediately contacted his supervisor. The supervisor came out immediately within 10 minutes or so along with the driver who was involved and fixed it temporarily and then came back to completely fix the pole and box! They were so polite, helpful and eager to get the box back up! Honestly this time the plow hadnt hit it, but the snow thrown from the plow! They are a great credit to our state and certainly demonstrated that not all in government are uncaring concerning the public! Thanks Oklahoma and thank you Supervisor Mark and Driver Robert!!!! We love you and appreciate your hard work and care during a time of great pressure(working 24/7) to keep our roads open!!! God bless you each one!!!!!!
The guard who attacked a journalist needs to be arrested and prosecuted. He has no business working with the public.
