This place used to be wonderful, but things really changed the last few months for the worse very quickly. Some middle eastern teacher called us every single week about our toddlers complaining that she cant handle them. We requested to view video footage of what they were describing or make a surprise visit and watch them from outside the class to see what the issue is. Both the teacher and the director refused to allow us to view any video footage or do anything. We asked to speak with someone higher than the director, and were again refused the option. Our boys told us the teacher was very mean to them and described her as being severely abusive and discriminatory towards them. They have come home with bruises and what look like belt or ruler marks on several occasions. We advised the director or this and again asked to review video footage and were refused and then ignored thereafter. The director claims our toddlers are bad kids and disruptive of the class. The director then advised us after she reviewed the video that she was kicking them out of the school, but would still not provide any proof or allow us to see what exactly was going on in the class when we again asked to see what is actually on the video. She claims "it is the best option for all parties involved." They are three and four year old boys, we've never had these issues ever before and don't have any issues at home or with babysitters. Our children came home regularly with stomach viruses, the flu, skin rashes, and strep from this place at least once a month, and we dealt with that because the location was good and the school looked fairly clean, but now we know appearances can be deceiving. Our older two have no issues in the afterschool day care program, but our toddlers continually complain about their teacher abusing them and hitting them and the school staff and especially the director have been absolutely no help and in more regards extremely ignorant and avoidant of the situation as though they are protecting themselves or hiding something. Now, we have had to take our case to the states and Child Services for an official investigation into the matter. Several other parents we have talked to with students in the same class say their children are saying the same thing and they are also experiencing the same similar issues as well. This same issue was made very public a few years ago with a teacher caught on camera hitting children. Very sad. This place needs to complete staff overhaul, especially the director. Its a wonderful location and facility that is very poorly managed and staffed with abusive and immature staff that are completely unqualified to properly supervise and care for young children. Not recommended.
"I am glad I picked stonebridge Academy very professional and welcoming! The first impression was everything for me super happy environment. My daughter has been going to stonebridge academy since 6 months now " I have always felt very comfortable leaving her in their hands while I had to work as single mother you can only imagine how terrified you feel leaving your daughter under someone else’s care, my first concerned was for my daughter to feel safe and she is and mostly how happy I am of how much my daughter is learning! The staff is amazing , her teachers, everyone is amazing You can tell that they truly care about all of the children in their care. They also emphasize clean eating and feed the children nutritious foods that the kids love! Sajiah the director is always present and available. She truly is amazing. has been a blessing to me and I am so glad i found it. I highly recommend to anyone!
