There was a company trying to secure a License for my song to use in their T.V. Show. I contacted Music Gateway, (received an email from Sam Loughlin) I signed up for an account and he told me they would take it from there. Months later I received an email asking me to confirm the Credits and telling me the air date would be April 2, 2022. I sent and email on March 26 asking about the payment for the License because the date was approaching and had no updated information on if the Company had already paid for the license and if so when would i receive my payment. 2 weeks later i received an email from Sophie that she had been recovering from surgery and didnt have anymore information. No response on payment. I responded to her email within 30 minutes asking about payment and she never responded. I had to email the Producer of the T.V. show to ask him had he already paid for the license. He told me he had already paid Music Gateway for the license but still had not received a receipt for his payment. 2 1/2 weeks later i sent an email to Sam Loughlin (who is the original person i spoke with) and his response was "Sophie has been recovering from surgery which may be the reason for any delayed communication. I will make it known that you are awaiting an update". Here I am 2 months later and still no response about my payment from Sam Loughlin or Sophie Small. The producer of the show emailed me and said he secured the License for $400 and i haven't received one penny from them. I also released the song through their Music Gateway site. I have no updates on streams, downloads, NOTHING! I closed my account with them and i will be re-releasing my song through another company. I'm just beginning to write reviews. I really hope someone sees this that can help me out. I would like my license and I would like my money.
Hey Koko, I'm really sorry to hear that you have had some billing issues with your account. We have responded to your email, and look forward to resolving this with you as soon as possible. Kind regards.

Sudden unauthorised transaction made with my personal banking details month after i cancelled my suscription with them. They keep your personal details without your approval. Fraudulent organisation.
Thank you so much for your kind words Paul, very much appreciated and glad that what we're trying to do comes across!

Used Music Gateway a number of times to pitch for sync placement, but my most positive experience so far has been with Mary who engaged with me after I commented on a facebook post. Mary clearly wants the best for Music Gateway and for independent artists like me, going out of her way to help me with some promotion - when she really didn't have to! Awesome stuff and a great reflection on Music Gateway.
Hi Jorge, we're so sorry to hear you haven't been satisfied with our service. To address the Sync projects we've put out, unfortunately over the last year there has been a slight drop in projects available but we have done our best to get those projects out as soon as possible to give artists as much time as possible to submit and be considered. I'd like to pass over your query about your refund to our support team - could you send an email to [email protected] and we'll get onto this right away.

Stay away! This company is not what it once was. I've been with Music Gateway for a long time, and they used to have very nice opportunities. Things started to smell fishy a couple years back. There was a VERY SPECIFIC movie sync opportunity for a very specific cover in a very short time frame that I happened to have and tailored exactly to their requests, all professionally recorded, mixed and mastered. They told me it "didn't make the final playlist". Long story short, it's obvious the project got cancelled. Last year I wanted to cancel my account and they convinced me to stay for another year. There were no opportunities to submit to for the whole year. Then a few days ago I got hit with a credit card charge, with no warning and no invoice. I was told to submit their "refund request form" to receive a reply in "3-5 days", which is ridiculous. And I did. The refund was denied "under the Terms & Conditions". Well, guess what the T&C say? "10.11 You may cancel any subscription type by giving notice in your Registered User account Settings page by clicking on the Cancel Account link and completing the prompts. You will receive a full refund at any time within fourteen (14) working days beginning on the day after you receive confirmation of your subscription cancellation from Music Gateway. This is provided you have not used the service during this period." I was told to "contest" my refund by filling the same form again. That's the last I heard from them, and that was one week ago. So, I cancelled the account, lost access immediately and I'm out of my money. It's sad that these people want to keep money from the weakest link in the chain right now: independent artists. EDIT (because I can't reply to the reply): I'm amazed I got a reply in minutes here, I suppose it's the CEO himself, busy trying to save face. Truth is I emailed ALL my contacts there, including the CEO. They are happy keeping my money, not replying to emails, keeping me out of the account I paid for, and violating their own T&C.
