Employment with AGS Laboratories has allowed for my personal and professional growth. The corporate culture is such that those that wish to succeed are given great opportunity to do so. Innovation and new, creative ways of thinking are encouraged. Access to professional development and education is available, and the work environment allows these skills to be used daily. The standards of the organization are very high and the mission of the American Gem Society speaks to ethics, education, and consumer protection, all of which are needed in any industry. I am grateful to have found employment with an organization such as this.
Thank you, Katherine! We appreciate your support of the American Gem Society

When I have a question or am curious about something something diamond related I turn to AGS. I am greeted with professionalism and an extremely detailed answer, which is rare in the age of sound bites. Thank you!
We are disappointed to see a post by a former employee describing a work environment and experience that is not consistent with the organizations policies and training, which prohibit discrimination and harassment of any kind. The American Gem Society has and will continue to work toward ensuring our employees and leadership conduct themselves in ways that reflect our commitment to fairness, equity, and a discrimination-free work environment. Please contact me if you would like to discuss further. Denise Manfra, Director of Human Resources

Never experienced such discrimination in any workplace. The saddest part of all it's the upper management who treat their employees like 2nd class citizens. The CEO and Director of Membership are the worst of them all. Its unfortunate that they only hire friends with no work ethics or experience. Poor management in a nutshell. The discrimination against minorities is despicable. There is no room for growth unless you are part of the CEO and Membership crew. I am so proud to have been able to leave such a terrible environment. Very toxic and terrible. You attempt to talk to the CFO and HR and it goes on deaf ear. Even social media comments illustrate some who have experienced the wrath of AGS. Believe me the employees will agree with these comments, but are afraid to speak up due to retaliation. There are some wonderful employees who are employed there, but it's the poisonous direction the company is going with the two best friends who have no experience, lack of leadership, and who practice unethical tactics. Shame on you CEO for you and your best friend in membership! Shame on you for the way you and your pal treat employees!
