Really beautiful hike, but pretty dangerous, especially on the backside of Elk Mtn headed to Kings Mtn. I wouldn't take children or dogs up here. Be sure of your footing and be ready to crawl up or down.

It's very steep and challenge for beginners. We spent 2.5 hours going up and 2.5 hours going down. The trail is very narrow. We saw a few people fell when down the trail. Be extremely cautious.

another fun one, definitely expect to scramble/climb a little and if you make it to the top and have time the path to kings mountain's peak is kind of nice too. photos don't do the path justice, this was in July, bring water if you do the whole loop. and I would recommend climbing up on the side the goes towards kings mountain and not down.
