Hey Amrita, We're really sad to hear you weren't a fan, especially considering you named some of our guests absolute favorite dishes these days - including the pasta special that is a dish that has been returning to the menu for years. While we know people's tastes vary and our style of cooking may not be for everyone, what we really wish is that you had said something while you were here about the dishes you didn't enjoy - we would have been more than happy to replace them with other options, or to cook something off-menu for you based on your tastes. Especially these days with online review platforms like this, it's so important for guests to communicate directly with small businesses if something goes wrong and give them the chance to make things better when we still can. Based on the reviews and previewing the menu, I had a fairly high expectation of this place going in but unfortunately it did not meet that. It was mediocre taste profile overall. We had Arancini, Maiale, Pollo al Matone and Pasta of the day. The meat were cooked well but the flavors were really lacking. I was not a big fan of the Balsamic Vinegar sauce in the pasta of the day.

Hey Molly, Really sorry to hear your disappointment, but I have to say it feels a bit unfair to criticize the restaurant with a 3-star review when you expected us to be something we're not. Our menus are all available online and given that we've long been recognized for being a restaurant with a chef-owner who celebrates her south Indian heritage through some of the flavors incorporated into our dishes, it simply seems you should have chosen another restaurant. That said, a good 2/3 of our menu is indeed quite traditionally Italian, so perhaps we could have better helped you find the right dishes. Loved the aesthetic but the food was strangely too odd. Was really craving classic Italian and tiramisu for dessert.

This was a standout restaurant. Service was attentive if a bit slow, but the quality of the food and experience more than made up for this. Extremely inventive, flavorful dishes and knowledgeable server. Loves the daily specials and the verdure.

Hah! I imagine the irony is lost on you that the whole 'if you don't die a hero' storyline in that movie was to serve the fact that Batman was vilified by a misinformed public for choosing to do the right thing, even though it was the harder choice... In your own analogy: Spuntino=Batman while you're quoting a delusional villain. I'm mostly sad that you posted this bizarre nonsense while hiding behind the name of such a kind and wonderful person. Spuntino is one of those legacy Denver restaurants where most of us have celebrated at least one birthday or graduation. They make artisan soda with garden herbs and gelato with olive oil to paraphrase Two Face from Batman... It seems like these days a lot of our favorite restaurants that didn't die young enough to become Heroes, are living long enough to see themselves turn into Villains. Mass Formation Psychosis and Psychic Epidemic is no excuse for Segregation. Shame on you Elliott and Cindhura!!!!
