Hi Mark, Google limits the info we can put on the map. If you stopped by our store when we were "closed" or visited our website or called us, hopefully you noted that we are open 24 hours by appointment? Outside our regular hours, if you make an order online with 1 hour's notice, you'll be able to order gear. That means that if you stopped by the store at 2am to get gear, you could place an order online right then and there, and someone will literally come to the store to open it for you at 3am. While this isn't "true" 24 hours, it's better than any other store will offer. While we'd love to have "true" 24 hours, as a small business, there's no way to afford the cost of keeping an employee on premise 24 hours, not to mention we don't want to chain people up like that! Hope you understand. If you have any direct concerns, feel free to email [email protected].
Josiah, firstly, thanks for taking the time to provide candid feedback and sorry we weren't able to help you out. I'm assuming you heard about us by doing a quick search and seeing our dot on Google Maps. In this case, I totally understand how many things could been confusing and mis-understood. Alas, the ability of a single dot to convey info about business operations is limited, so this is also for the benefit of other customers. Rest assured that this info is on our website or in the automated phone recording, and we're always trying to improve how we communicate what we are, so as to avoid misleading / miscommunicating. We hope that at least when you met with James, you didn't feel like he deliberately tried to mislead you, but was instead very forthcoming with information. Best of luck on your search for a snowboard. 1) We do NOT advertise ourselves as a typical "shop". We are a SHOWROOM located in an OFFICE building (there are some residences here that are live/work lofts). Actually this showroom is temporary because we will eventually move to a retail store. There is high security, which is why you have to call someone to be let up. There is a sign on the door with our number, and it is in our voice recording as well. 2) We are primarily a RENTAL business. That's why there is only a limited inventory for purchase. I'm not sure what you mean by "highly questionable"--as you can see from the other reviews, people have loved our gear. 3) We do NOT carry hard goods (skis, boots, snowboards, etc.). As James explained to you, this is because as primarily a rental business, we've realized that a significant number of customers have a fit issue once they leave the city, and once they leave we can't help them. We've made a business decision to not carry any hard goods.

Horrible! So confused, I'm not sure if this guy is legit... would not recommend. It was all in a residential apartment. Expected more range, and I didn't understand the reviews and how this shop managed to get 5 stars... absolutely no hardware, only soft goods that were highly questionable... had to get through three separately locked doors to even talk to the "shopkeeper". Please save your time and possibly life and avoid at all costs...
My husband and I went to Lake Tahoe last week, and in this season we need to prepare snowshoes and sleeping bags in order to walk in the snow trial and avoid the cold. The gears in Last minute Gear are very easy to rent on their website and their staffs prepared your gears so quickly and so kind! It's a very wonderful experience to rent outdoor gears in this shop!
Ze bieden goedkoop camping gear aan. De man erachter is duidelijk een computer geek die dingen mooi geautomatiseerd heeft. Echter heeft het nog niet een professionele uitstraling.
