Hi Less: thanks for your comments. You might not be aware, but since 2012, China Camp State Park has been run by a nonprofit organization, Friends Of China Camp. Prayer to Covid, there had been a very robust interpretive program in our historical village. We have just begun to do special events in the park again, following a long break during the pandemic. In addition, we will be introducing an online tour of the museum and our historic Village Café. Again, all programs are largely staffed and supported by volunteers, so we dont always have the luxury of full-time staffing in terms of availability or bandwidth. We greatly appreciate comments from visitors. Thank you for your thoughts. For more information about China Camp, please see our content-rich website, friendsofchinacamp.org. Our history section has a lot of information about the village. If you have any additional questions please feel free to reach out again. And we hope to see you again at the park!

Great to recognize and preserve the history of Chinese people in the Bay Area, but this could be developed a bit more. As it is now ( maybe covid has something to do with it) exploring the entire site takes about a half hour. It would be great to have live exhibits and demonstrations of this lost way of living on the Bay
Cool little historical site, the hike to get there going along Shoreline Trail is enjoyable and shared partly. It's half beach and half shrimp village museum so it's got limits as to how fun it can be. And it's both not the best beach and not the best museum but hey we had fun.
Hi. Were glad you liked our ranger we are essentially all volunteers and not park employees so positive feedback is appreciated. If youd like to share more about what you mean by the young kid, wed be happy to hear. Not sure what you mean by thatdid the person present themselves as a representative of Friends of China Camp (the nonprofit which runs the parknot State Parks). Thanks!

The mountain biking was adequate. The front gate ranger was pleasant. The young kid that they had out on the trails was very aggressive and power-hungry. Just ride past him.
