Not accurate. Very wild allegations made here made by an uninformed party's spouse. Came very prepared, but the hearing was continued due to brand new information presented by the GAL and DCFS just before the hearing, which even the client was not aware of, and which required additional preparation to prevent "trial by ambush." The prudent thing was done, which was to continue the hearing to be able to adequately respond to the brand new facts we'd just learned. No double billing occurred, which was just acknowledged in a telephone call. Everything was done by the book, with client knowledge and consent (including negotiations with the GAL). That this person's spouse now wishes to make vague wild complaints, after not wishing her spouse to comply with contract (which she misrepresents), MONTHS later does not change the facts.

Kelly Peterson is by far the worst attorney we have dealt with. We have been dealing with a very complicated custody battle with my husband's ex wife and hired Kelly when our family attorney was unavailable for the dates of the hearing. Kelly took a $1500 evergreen retainer over the phone with the stated understanding that we would need to replenish the $1500 at the end of each month or his services would cease and desist. After 1 week and the first hearing, when he came unprepared and unfamiliar with the emails we sent containing the information he requested, we knew we had to part ways with him as soon as possible. Also, he went into a negotiation with the GAL attempting to offer terms or a deal on my husband's behalf which we had no knowledge of until afterwards. He seemed visibly frustrated and suggested that my husband should just avoid going to the following hearing. Now his automated system is trying to double bill me for services we're already paid for in advance. If anyone else is having a similar problem, we'd love to hear about it, maybe we can compare notes. :) I'd give him negative stars if I could, to counter all the other 5 star posts written by " real " clients of his. If you can imagine the kind of person it takes to conjure up all the fake positive reviews you'll have a vague idea of Kelly P.

It is common for one party to disagree with a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem, which is the role Mark says I held in this case, rather than an attorney for a party. Apparently he just didn't like what position I took as the GAL. ALSO, I've done a search of my files, and have never been involved on a case with a Mark Stoddard as a party or client. Moreover, I haven't worked at the GAL's office for more than 5.5 years

I have read the reviews posted and wish I had had this particular attorney everyone is speaking highly of. My experience with Kelly Peterson is one that has made it so that I will never recommended him, nor have I. As a GAL, he was completely lacking. Fascinating that Kelly Peterson says I have never been a client, met in his office multiple times, sat next to him in court as he sat at my attorney's table. Trust me, this attorney is not one I would recommend. Regina.

Kelly helped me gain temporary custody of my daughters. We were extremely prepared going into court. Our case was tight and clearly spelled out with a lot of hard evidence. Kelly guided me on much of the process so I didn't have to pay him a ton of money for all of the legwork. I had a ton of evidence going in and we had to whittle it down to 25 page per the court rules. However, Kelly creatively found a way to get more of my defense/evidence in front of the judge if we go to trial. I consulted a couple of child therapists, counselors, and psychologists before pursuing my case. Everyone of them that new Kelly spoke highly of him.

I was dealing with a custody battle and I appreciated Kelly and his secretary so much! They made me feel informed and walked me through the process of what court would be like and what I would need to bring and tips for bring about the most success. It was great working with someone who knew what they were doing and who knew how to simplify it enough so i felt informed as well!

Ryan is an unethical attorney who involved himself on my case; I had another attorney retained in his firm. He advised me and threatened me to sign a stipulation giving temporary custody of my son to his dad who is a known predator and abuser. He should not be practicing law.
