The library looks way too dark for me. The only part that I really like is the 7th floor with the atrium, but that area has just a few tables and zero connections to plug my devices. I rather go study at my local library.

Only 4 stars, simply because this beautiful city has lots of work to do about the homeless. Incredible building. Easily accessible, enormous selection of all literary genres. Oh if we spent as much on humans.

One of the most beautiful and iconic buildings in the Loopand thats saying quite a bit. One look up is all it takes to see thatthose green verdigris copper corner friezes.

Let me point out the obvious: libraries arent what they used to be. With that said, I dont think this library is worth the real estate it is occupying. I visited this place for the first time in 20 years, and I maybe counted 10 people at most. The amount of books have been drastically reduced because of the obvious(not many people check out books anymore). We can probably find a better use for all of those floors.
