We usually do not give estimates for repair work and no longer take on new repair work outside of existing warranty roofs. I'm not sure that this was someone from our company but thank you for the kind review.

Gave a WAY inflated price for the minor repairs to my roof. Offered no warranty, wouldn't give his last name, etc. He seemed very unprofessional, and didn't align at all with the accolades seen on his website. Hmm. I sent him on his way.

Our phones ring in our office and we do not have an answering service. This time of year we do not take on any additional repair work not under warranty.

An answering service takes your call, and a scheduler is supposed to call you back. No-one ever returned the call after 2 calls in 2 different weeks. Thanks for the response :)(: Whoever answered the phone the first time advised me that a scheduler was going to call back. I figured noone was going to return my call when they asked who was referring me! The old- fashioned phone book is not good enough. Alerting me that you are not taking new customers at this time is the least your office staff could have done. This is what busy doctors' offices do when they dont take new patients.

We were amazed at the job that J & A Roofing did for us! The old roof was off and the new roof was on in one day. Cleanup was excellent! And the price was thousands less than other companies. I have continued to sing the praises of J & A Roofing to anyone considering a new roof.

Benjamin this is a fake review and you know it. You and your wife hired one of my metal foreman on the side to install a new metal roof for you over two years ago. You have no estimate or contract from J&A Roofing. You have no proof of workers compensation or general liberality insurance as required by towns to pull a permit for a roof replacement. Every customer of our company gets a written estimate and if they decide to move forward we send a contract to sign off on the scope of work as well as payment terms. We would never have a customer rip their own roof off and leave them hanging for over two years if this job was one of our own and not some side work that a former employee was running on his own against company protocol. I am sorry that he showed up at your house today but you should have given that some thought before you contracted with him privately instead of how the rest of our "real" customers interact with our business. If you continue to slander us online and have your friends leave fake reviews to try and hurt our business we will be forced to take legal action against you. You are well within your rights to go after our former employee but leave us out of it.

J&A roofing employeed George Marcell to do our roof in Poughkeepsie. We supplied the materials and gave them a deposit. George advised my husband to go ahead and rip the roof off and stated he would be over the coming weekend to finish the job. He never came. I have two years worth of text messages from George stating that he would be by the following day. He always had a different excuse, Ian wouldnt let him come that day, work was really busy, he was being pulled in several directions, she was really really sorry but he needed to do some thing with his wife, etc. etc. my husband drove to Kingston to check on the roofing materials and realized that they had used our materials that we purchased ourselves separate from them. When he confronted the owner on this the owner did admit to using our materials and did eventually replace them but couldnt match the color. He then stated that George no longer worked for him. Today George shows up at our house stating thar he he doesnt owe us anything even though we have years of messages that state otherwise, - even messages advising us not to start without him- used seriously abusive language, and drove off. Hes a complete erratic maniac, in my opinion. This fiasco has caused nothing but stress and for us to lose a ton of money. The fact that J&A runs an ad campaign touting honesty is laughable. They have all but forced us to take them to court to recoup our expenses.
