Sounds like you were at our always free Berkeley Kite Festival, (alway on the last full weekend of July) and although you enjoyed the festival you were unhappy with one of our exhibitors who was operation an attraction.

It's beautiful and enjoyable experience for kids. However, prices for rides outrageously expensive. Each ride $10 for 2 min of fun. Rip off. Otherwise great experience.

The owner has made his mark at this site. Very knowledgeable, very friendly, just a great guy to get your kites from. He's been here for over 20 years, best place to have a rolling office.

Nice area to walk around. Can be a p.i.t.f.a. to park on weekends. ....at least it's free to park around Berkeley Marina unlike Emeryville....
