I'm the treasurer of my co-op board, and have been working with Mark and Tina from the Folson Group for a couple of years. I continue to be surprised that every co-op in the city isn't working with this kind of service. The economic model is 100% aligned to generate savings, and they don't get paid if they don't find savings. They are very thorough, detail oriented, and always have innovative ideas to save our building money. We aren't forced to take their ideas, although we have taken many of them. They also aren't afraid to recommend the status quo, which I appreciate because it means they are looking out for the building as opposed to solely looking to save money, even at the expense of quality. I would highly recommend working with them.
The Folson Group provides a very valuable service that has been missing for Coop & Condo boards. Theyre like a magic wand for board management, except the wand waves itself.
