If you are looking for a casual atmosphere Runner's is the place. The servers were polite and responsive. That said, the food was high price for what it was. I expected FRESH seafood and unfortunately that was not the case with my wife's shrimp dish. They did comp her meal, but it ruined the evening as she was concerned about getting sick as she realize the ammonia taste as she swallowed. Much better places for that kind of $$. My dish contained minimal seafood for the $34.00 price tag.

Tonight's dinner was disappointing. The place has the ingredients but someone in the kitchen did not get the memo regarding basic ingredients and pairing. The most disappointing dish (which I read was also negatively rated by others) was linguini with mussels. I asked for white sauce, extra garlic and cooked al dente. The dish came with a pound of over done linguini in some type of sauce that tasted like nothingness and there was no real garlic --I am assuming they are using either powder garlic or minced. I kept adding parmesan cheese to make it taste but failed. My wife's crab cakes had ample crab but tasted heavy on butter and some type of sauce was served with them that did not match. Side of vegetables on these not good as they tasted like they were cooked 8 hours ago. In short if you have the fresh see food (which they do since 1/2 of the place is a fresh sea food market) then get some olive oil and fresh garlic and that's all your gonna need for the linguini with mussels.
