Just enjoyed an amazing show with Jimmie Allen and Neon Union! The service was also great. The reason for the 3 rating is because of the food and beverages. We ordered a BBQ Bacon Cheese Burger with the fixings on the side. The burger was horrible and literally they put everything on the side, including the bacon, BBQ sauce, and they forgot the cheese. We might have been okay with this if the burger was good but it was not . Also, the fries had sugar on them as part of the seasoning. We then ordered a pint of beer, on tap, and one thing I could always count on was a glass. The first came in a glass but then my second came in plastic. I understand if I am on Broadway that is pretty much standard but when we come to the Listening Room we expect a little more. This review is more for management and I hope it gets there. We love the Listening Room and just want it to be a place with great music and a little more than just a cheap burger joint.
Thanks so much for the review Mindy! We are so glad you came by and this is so upsetting that you had this experience. We love our customers and really don't like it when things go bad for them. I'm not sure why you weren't carded for your first drink (we will talk to staff about that) but this law is a tough one. You'd think that when we look at a 61 year old we should be able to just serve them, but the TN law is pretty strict. If you were under-cover alcohol beverage commission and we didn't get your ID correctly, we can be fined and lose our liquor license. It's very unfortunate but not worth the business risk. I truly wish your experience would have been better, that you would have had your ID and that your Valentines day would have been better.

We came to Nashville for the first time. We were told that the Listening Room was a great place to go. We went on Valentines evening looked forward to a fun evening. We arrived around 7:45 and had drinks at the bar (no one asked for IDs) went into a great table at the stage and ordered another drink when we were asked for ID I did not have mine as it was a date and my man had all that we needed. Then management came to the table and said Nashville law is you have to have an ID (you should put this on your website) she said she gave me a drink and would take responsibility for it . Needless to say our Valentines evening was ruined. We left and will never go back if in Nashville again. Forgot to mention I am 61!!!
