Shopping with kids can be difficult at times, especially at a store such as ours. I personally apologize for any displeasure we caused, as it isn't our nature to show annoyance to anyone. Picking up after kids is a necessary task, mainly because we don't want them to get stepped on and it is nice to keep the place looking as good as it can be. This happens from time to time when its busy downtown. All comments are viewed as a positive for us because they help make us better. All reviews are discussed with the staff so changes or adjustments can be made. Shopping with Amazon can be beneficial to many and disappointing to others. You cant feel, see or touch the actual item you want which is very important in the Toy Industry. Most sellers on Amazon also don't have the overhead as a brick and mortar store does. One on one recommendations and help are also lacking. We will work hard to take measures in an effort to correct the displeasures you experienced. We walked in the Saturday of the Kris Kringle fair at the carriage museum. I have a 2 yr old and 4 year old. When we walked in, we were greeted politely, but they became less friendly and even annoyed as my kids touched the toys. One lady followed my son around putting everything back and the short hair lady looked very annoyed we were in there. I should have known better than to bring two little kids to a toy shop, but were in the spirit of visiting small businesses. With that kind of attitude, why would I go back to spend twice as much on something I could get off Amazon. RIDICULOUS!! .. I sure hope neither of these two owned the shop, it would be a shame!

I'm really appauld at the lack of customer service this evening at the store, and the subpar toys that I purchased. The spaghetti toy is coming apart mere 15 mins after purchase. The one ballerina doll's yarn bangs were sticking straight out, and not laying flat like they should. Now, onto the lack of customer service, one employee offered a 10% discount......great, except the one with seniority said, no....there is nothing wrong with this and if you want it you WILL pay full price period. I should have walked out right then, but instead I decided to over look that and give the store my $85 for my entire purchase. I even asked again, after doing what was suggested by the nice employee of putting a hair tie around this dolls head to tame the bangs down ..... which did not work mind you.... about if there was anything they could do just to save me some money. Again, no...."try wetting them, And i mean she is going to be playing with it obviously so it's not really that big of a deal!" When they said, "see you again" after completing the purchase, I responded.... no, no you won't! And i mean it.
Katy and I (Jamie) apologize for any displeasure you experienced while at our store. It certainly isn't what our goals are. We don't often "follow" customers around like you say, however there are times when we monitor certain items being touched by young people who are not vaccinated. Protecting everyone is very difficult and we have a policy to know what might have been touched so we can take precautions for the next person who handles the item. For example, plush is difficult to thoroughly disinfect. COVID-19 rules are a pain but we must keep the store and its' contents clean. Went there for the first time and the last. If my grandchild didnt want the toy i would have left without buying a darn thing. 1st. Why an employee can follow someone around like they are doing something wrong ia crazy. 2 . When i cashed out i explained my issue with the casher and asked where to leave a review. The other employee came up and said if you have something to say come say it to my face. Beyond belief i said back i have my grandchild with me this isnt the time or the place. 3. Concerned about covid is an excuse they gave me . If that is the case why is the store open its a toy store all the toys are being touched by children . Please.. This is a toy store where children are do you think this is ok because i do not. I tried to avoid the situation and if i was there alone i would have had alot more to say..but i refuse to say anything around my grandchild or other children. Dont shop there.. Stay clear.. Read response back from store. There are plushies or stuffed animals throught different sections of the store. Please stop with the excuses. You dont know if myself or grandchild is vaccinated. We will not be back and have talked to others. Might not be typical well other reviews show different others complain about be followed... Looks like it hasnt stopped. RATHER SPEND MY MONEY ANYWHERE ELSE BUT YOUR STORE
