In terms of teaching, it was an incredible university and lovely campus. However, now as a graduate and reflecting, I am incredibly disappointed and appalled by the lack of communication between the university and its students. I am still yet to hear about my graduation dates a YEAR after my degree finished, and Ive heard (from word of mouth, not through the university itself) that the dates get released to us in Feb. Thats just a month alone to book off holiday from work (where some work places require 6 months prior to book holiday), arrange with family who also have jobs, and pay for accommodation and tickets. This is ridiculous. Throughout my course aswell, there was hardly any support from the university regarding learning and skills development, and getting information from the lecturers was like getting blood from a stone. In general Im stunned by the lack of, if Im being honest, needed respect that the university holds for its students - when the students are the one who bring this tiny uni up to its top 25 ranking. Its left a sour taste in my mouth from what was initially a lovely university experience.
If I could give back my degree and get my money back, I would. The Politics and International Relations department is a waste of space and matter.
