This organization is against the right to repair and is caught reporting false data to show that the average lifespan of an appliance is 10 years or more. Giving excuses that appliances are more complex leading to more failures. The association refused on camera interviews until the cbc marketplace news team appeared in the lobby. Manufacturers are making parts scarce and schematics unavailable to require you to buy new and send your old appliance to the landfill. This is a great waste and is killing the appliance repair industry and will eliminate jobs. These manufacturers are motivated to sell poor quality equipment so that consumers have zero option but to buy new.
