This was my second trip and I must say I was a bit disappointed. The level of service has significantly declined and the property renovations compromised the heating and air units causing the entire spa to close. The staff did little to address the situation other than a we are sorry . Renovations of that scale should be disclosed so travelers can make informed decisions.
Expensive and stale food. Hashes out garbage in the name of organic food. More expensive than starbucks. ordered a coffee cake that was stale , breakfast burrito was average also looked a day old. cappuccino was not at all hot for a hot cappucino. was staying at the palazzo and went here as the starbucks the floor below had a long line will not be returning !!!
Granted, this is yet another Venetian eatery charging entirely too much for their menu items. However, if you're looking for a delicious breakfast sandwich, I do recommend this place (as opposed to Moon Palace or Illy Caffe). Their chicken sausage is crazy good, and the bottled orange juice is excellent. There aren't many seats inside, but you'll find tables/chairs just around the corner.
For the greatest store in the Berkshires you've never heard of, try The Showcase Boutique. It's right inside the spa lobby at Canyon Ranch and open to the public, even if you aren't a CR guest (just tell the guard at the booth you are visiting the Showcase. They've got brands and seasonal items you won't see anywhere else within 100 miles of the store and a helpful staff. The focus is on athleisure and outdoor gear. If that's your interest, you should really check it out.
It takes allot for me to write a negative review... The facility was impressive but you are treated like Kobe beef cattle (actually, they may be treated better). As a first time visitor, we arrived and had very little direction as to where to go. Once parked there were no signs directing you to the spa entrance. After asking multiple people where to go, we entered the woman's locker room. We were welcomed with, "What's your name"? & "Want a locker"? We were given a $0.05 tour - as the saying goes.... and emotionlessly told wait here till they call your name. The 2 stars are due to the fact that my treatment was wonderful. My friend was given a post massage cup of tea with only a tea bag (no water). I guess her tea was more self serve!?.... seriously!!!? For a place designed to promote personal growth and holistic care, perhaps the staff should attend one the Ranch's therapists to learn how to be welcoming and kind to their patrons.
