Beer was mediocre at best. The Stout wasn't a stout, and the IPA wasn't great. Service was slow. Also $8 for 12 oz beer. They don't even have a paper menu. We ordered fries and a round of beers and we received and finished the fries ten minutes before the beers finally arrived. Left after one beer because we didn't want to wait another 20 minutes for another.
First, let me get the good out of the way. The inside is beautifully done with a classy cozy interior. Second, the staff were super friendly-probably helped since relatively no one was inside but still nice attitudes all around. The reason for the bad rating is mainly because of the way they operate. As a brewery they are a small batch, 5 barrel outfit so that means that they have an extremely limited supply. It takes them 2-4 weeks to brew a new batch supposedly. Hence, when I went in they had NONE of their beers available and only mostly beers from New Belgium. At $7-8 a beer thats not their own I could have gone to any other bar for that or a lower price. They didnt indicate anywhere that these werent their own beers except for the small type on their menus inside. Its basically a crapshoot when you walk in if they have their own brews on tap. Apparently they also serve food as well but I saw nothing below $14 so I hope its not small portions. Given that they are basically the only bar in the area and adjacent to USC ($$$$$) Im sure they will do well with the frat crowd. But not by selling their own beers since they dont seem to have any available....
This place has a nice atmosphere along with good local and out of state beers! They also have wine and sagria if you're not into beer, along with snack foods of course! I'll definitely be back.
