Dr Kirshner's place has the worst customer service. They might have some cool stylish glasses in the store. However, their horrible client experience keeps driving interested clients away. Would not recommend this place unless you want to be talked down like a child. Considering they charge a higher price than normal vision care places while giving nasty attitude to clients. I don't see why people want to spend so much money at their store.
Be aware of immoral business of this store. I bought glasses for $700 (a Lindberg frame + Crizal lenses) in June 2010. This is a rimless high end frame so they do not send your frame to the insurance company lab for drilling of the lenses; they do all the work in their own lab. I noticed a small crack around a drilled hole on one of the lenses a few weeks ago and it started to grow. I took my glasses to the store and talked with a shopping assistant; I told her that the crack must have happened due to either a drilling or a manufacturing error. First, she told me that there would not be any manufacturing error for Crizal lenses. Then she stated that it was either because of a drilling error or a big impact on that point. This is a very thin and delicate titanium frame. If it had been affected by a huge impact, do you believe that nothing would have happened to the frame but it would have caused a crack on a polycarbonate lens? A very clever explanation! Then the shopping assistant checked my purchase information and told me that I had bought the glasses more than a year ago and its warranty was expired. I told her that Crizal lenses had two years warranty. She told me that she would call the lens manufacturer and ask for their opinion. Then, she went inside to talk with the lab technician, came back, and told me that they would honor a replacement without talking to the manufacturer. Five minutes after I left the store, the shopping assistant contacted me on my phone and told me that my two year warranty had expired three days ago and they would not replace my lenses. I noticed why she behaved like that immediately. While we were talking about this issue, there were other customers whom they could sell very expensive glasses in the store. For that reason, she did not want to discuss with me in front of them and lied to me to make me leave the store. What a cheap way of treating customers. I will spend another $300 for new lenses for their bad work but I will never stop by this store.
It's always such a fun experience! Besides finding fun glasses, I always get the best customer service. I have been very happy going there for the past 10 years. Doctor Kirshner and his team are the best!!!
