The JLE was my go-to place for classes, services, and holiday celebrations for almost 5 years before I left NYC. Rabbi Nissi has created a great community that is very accepting regardless of your age, how observant you are, and where you come from. I enjoy celebrating Judaism more as a tradition and history of my people rather than a religion and the JLE is probably the only community I know where I didnt feel pressured to go beyond my comfort zone. Rabbi Nissi is very knowledgeable, always has great insights, and creates very positive atmosphere.

Chabad FiDi has really been great during my time working in FiDi. I particularly enjoy going to their holiday and Shabbat events where there is always a diverse and fun group of people at the most beautiful venues downtown with great refreshments.
