This is a complete fabrication. The laptop was in our care longer than they typically are as the screen was not the issue. There was spill damage on the logic board that was not reported to us when the machine was dropped off. The machine was problematic when it was dropped off, and that problem simply accelerated as issues with electronics often do. We offered the owner's husband a solution to repair the machine and he opted not to. Then he showed up unannounced while the machine was still apart and asked if he could pick it up. We told him it was still in pieces and he said "that is fine." And he took it as it was. We do understand frustration some customers can feel when they are told there is more wrong with their machine than what they initially expected. But that is just what happens with electronics sometimes as no fault of ours. We do our best to tell our customers upfront exactly what they are to expect, and we pride ourselves on our work. And yes, we do charge a $49 assessment fee on a job if you opt out of having us repair it. Which is what this customer did.

My computer screen went black after bending the laptop cover past a certain point. The computer still was still fully functional. My husband researched online and learned that one just needed to replace the screen to fix the problem. This company held my computer for 10 days, broke it so it didn't work at all, and then charged us $49.
I have had nothing but good experiences with this firm. Tom knows his stuff. I've probably used his services eight or nine times, and I expect the visits will continue. He's smart, he's fair, and he's prompt. Highly recommended.
My 6-year-old laptop seems good as new, after a battery replacement and fixing a key issue. Very happy with the service and the price.
