This is a great example of why optometrists get a bad rap. I rarely do web reviews but this is worthy of it dont visit these cats for any reason. The front desk is rude, their policies are outdated and totally unhelpful. We were traveling and I needed a contacts prescription to be sent to a local Walmart so I could get it filled. They wouldnt do it saying I had to come back in and be seen Im out of state on vacation and cant get to your office so you can charge me for an absolutely unnecessary fitting. Experiences like this are why most optometrists services could and should be replaced by a simple machine at an in-store kiosk or an app.

We are sorry to hear that your request was not fulfilled to your satisfaction. However, It is illegal to dispense contact lenses in any case without a prescription from an eye doctor. EyeCare Optical does not advertise for emergencies or specialize in emergency eye care. Further, we would not classify a torn contact lens as an emergency. Since a prescription was necessary to dispense replacement contact lenses, we offered an eye examination which you refused. At EyeCare Optical, we strive to meet every patients needs and based on your review, we believe we did so to the best of our capability.

Establishment says it specializes in emergencys, I went to get a contact because mine tore at work down the street, I have a contact prescription via 1800 but they werent able to use it to give me a single contact. I was told It was unlawful and the only other option I was given was to sit and wait to see a doctor. Im at work with no time, they did not tend to my emergency therefore I believe shouldnt market themselves as an emergency optometry service.

My husband had an appointment with Dr. Joy Stone. We arrived for our appointment. I was happy to be getting him in to see her because she is also my optometrist. When we arrived, I explained that due to my husbands medical conditions, he can not wear a mask. The receptionist said that she would have to get approval for him to be seen. I understand that. She got the approval. However, Dr. Joy Stone decided to refuse to see my husband explicitly because he could not wear his mask, hence because of his medical condition. She was a total B. She even made the receptionist cry. I have never been treated so poorly. I will never go back. My husband served this county and its citizens for 28 years. Losing parts of his mind, body and soul did not matter to her, even though she was currently wearing two masks. It is wrong to treat anyone like they are unworthy or second class. That is exactly how she treated him. I DO NOT recommend this doctor but I do recommend this company
