Hello Sir, We don't have a Zack who inquired a cake from us recently but the manager did speak to a Joseph Castro about his daughter's cake order and tree nut and peanut allergy. We also were told of a story in which a bagel in the toaster mixed with an English muffin caused a very severe reaction. We politely explained to you that with the severity of your daughter's allergy we wouldn't want anything to occur due to our facility not being nut free. We also explained that we would clean and sanitize everything through the process but again wanted to make sure you were comfortable. You confirmed that you wouldn't want us to make the cake and appreciated the explanation. We did not receive your 1st email you said you sent. We received an email with the pictures which we would have needed to price you one way or another, talked to the owner about the allergies and called you back the very next business day. Our girls that you spoke both explained that they needed to talk to the baker and decorator about her allergies because they were so severe, which is exactly what we did. Edit: I'm sorry you took my reply as unprofessional, that was not my intent. I'm simply explaining our end of the story after you blasted us. You wrote a review under a false name which we simply explained we have no corresponded with someone named Zack Striker, only someone named Joseph. We were never rude or unprofessional, we have not done anything other than try to help and make sure your daughter's safety comes first. Every one of our employees wanted to make sure her health came first. We could have simply taken your money, said we would extra-sanitize things and just move on, but we did not want to take that chance so all the front counter girls wanted to check with the baker and decorator and myself, which all takes time, some people would appreciate the diligence. We did explain to you from the beginning that we work with allergies, but we are not a nut-free facility and with her allergies being as severe as you mentioned, it seems as though she needs a full nut-free facility. We told you we would do her cake, that the option was up to you and we were leaving her health in your hands. You declined the order, we did not.

I contacted this business on 1/25 via phone and inquired about a cake for my daughter's birthday. I explained allergy concerns and was told to email them on their site. That same evening I sent an email with the information the young lady had stated was needed. By 1/29 I hadn't heard anything and contacted them again via phone. I spoke with a different young lady who said they never got an email and took all of the same information, with me restating the allergies, as the first time and requested I just email pictures for their designer to pull ideas from. I was a annoyed as I received a marketing email which I had declined yet the claim was I hadn't emailed them. I sent 6 or 7 pictures as requested. On 2/1 I received a phone call from a young man who identified himself as a manager. He started telling me their facility might not be the safest and they were concerned because they don't vet their ingredients for allergens. He asked if I had gone with someone else and I told him no because I was under the impression everything was able to be accommodated. He then asked me when the birthday was and I told him 2/4. His response was that I still had 3 days to get a hold of a cake. I was pretty much done (pretty sure their website states a week at least in advance) as he tried to spend the next minute tap dancing around something that should've been explained a week earlier. The icing on this cake is they have the nerve to ask for donations on their website when they can't even professionally decline a request from a customer willing to pay. Avoid at all costs. EDIT: I appreciate Carrie J. Shelly, the owner, doubling down on their unprofessionalism and doxxing my daughter. Disgusting. Their baker couldn't be contacted for a week, essentially. Classy. You put a child's name out here for what? Screenshot of the email I received in response to my first email attached. As integrity seems to be foreign to Carrie Shelly. Final Edit: Ms. Shelly, you're very hung up on a name as if that changes the situation. I hope at some point you come to the realization that saying no is ok when it's done professionally. It shouldn't take over a week to analyze whether your bakery can accommodate an allergy accomodation that is stated to your staff up front as anaphylactic. And your manager did indeed tell me I had enough time on 2/1 to find a different place to get a cake from for 2/4. Aside from that I never accused or referenced either young ladies conduct negatively. I'm not your first negative review, I'm sure I won't be your last. But I'll leave this to stand for other parents/people with allergies so they can be what I was not with regards to your business, informed.

We are very sorry your cakes were late today. We did the best we could to get your cakes out on time. Your order was a very last minute order and we squeezed them in for you as we explained when we took your order. We did not take your money and then tell you no we wouldn't deliver them. You asked for delivery after we finalized your order and we told you we did not offer delivery. You stated you'd have to call back to see if someone could pick them up and to hold off on the order, which we did. You then called back and placed your order knowing we did not offer delivery. As for the dryness, I am very sorry you are unhappy with your cake. We do pride ourselves in our cakes and certainly do not like to hear anyone is unhappy.

Was over an hour late when I went to pick up cakes. When ordering I asked to order two cakes for DELIVERY. They proceeded to take my order and money then told me I had to pick it up and it wasn't even ready even though I told them when I'd be the more than a day prior. Would have canceled but it was too close to the event. The cake is dry and not very good as well.
