Edit: a copy/paste reply to a negative review, from a copy/paste healthcare provider: these words are so cheap. Believe the bad reviews. This revolving door of an establishment does not respect your time or money. Last year, Avance cancelled an appointment the day of, and then rescheduled me to a weekend visit. No problem - but then they charged me a surprise fee for a weekend appointment with a new doctor. The morning of the appt, the staff was late to open the door, and I waited with my doctor and other patients outside the building. After what was generously a 20 minute visit, I was billed for 45 mins. I opted then to look elsewhere for my next visit to a doctor. They'll also call your phone instead of replying via their patient portal messaging system, even if instructed otherwise, which is extremely inconvenient to those of us living in the 2020s. I'd rather eat a new patient fee somewhere else.

I took my young son in today for an X-ray on his arm, he was very nervous about the whole experience walking in. The team at Avance Durham was warm and amazingly welcoming from the front desk all the way through checkout. The medical staff made sure to speak to him on his level and explain every part of the process. Bedside manner and patience is not always something you find, especially with the added stress medical professionals have during the pandemic, but this team went above and beyond to create an amazing experience. I can not recommend this facility enough!!!
