I have been a wedding photographer for 14 years full-time and have traveled all over the USA and Europe for weddings. I have seen the best and worst of what you can possibly find in the wedding industry and when someone stands out it really is a big deal. Shandra and her team are just that. They stand out. Important things such as following through with communication back and forth with vendors and clients on time, to being present at events to lend support, guidance and some insight to how things are unfolding in the field. I have personally seen (most) planners hide behind a phone, or conversation with others, or in a back room, or anywhere but visible during an event. Shandra, I have seen lifting boxes, directing venue staff, checking in with the client, relaying info to vendors, and working hard both in and behind the scenes. It makes such a difference and I felt as if she works just as she would if it was her own, personal event with her own friends and family present. To be honest, she even motivates me to want to be better myself and that is not something I feel very often. There are so many wedding vendors out there now. (Too many). Anyone can call themselves a planner, photographer, or makeup artist. But it takes experience over years of work to understand what *actually* makes someone great in the challenging dynamics of a wedding (or any large event). I see it every month. Attitude, mindset and great self-awareness are some of the biggest key factors and Shandra has all of them. If I could, I would only work events with her and no one else. 😊 Shandra is someone you can hire & let go. You can trust her to execute like it was her own and will communicate all along the way. I can’t think of anything more important in a planner!
