Many thanks for the review. As other campers have stated, it is a grass field. Unfortunately, when it rains heavily over a number of days, grass gets boggy. As does every site in the area - hence every site has tractors/4x4s to help get people out. I suggest you look at staying at non-Certified Locations in the future - maybe one with roads.

This review says a lot more about you than it does us. We were closed due to the flooded field, so you didn't stay and yet you felt the need to review somewhere you hadn't stayed. Clearly not a nice person. We advised the best we could suggest as everywhere was closed was to stay near a beach. You should stop blaming other people for your inadequacies. In fact, I would love to know why you drove on our site at all given the gate was closed. We have an exceptionally large driveway. Funnily enough, you got stuck because of the weather and your own lack of common sense/decency. What you actually did was trespass on our land. And then admitted it. If I could review a person I would review you 1* and advise no business to ever allow you near them. You have no respect for private property and clearly no respect for others. A truly horrible individual.

Turned up here really needing somewhere to stay as other site fell through. Owner's couldn't even be bothered to get out if bed to book me on, and wouldn't let me stay eithout booking me on! Their suggestion? "Sleep in the local car park, there's not much crime"! Dreadful service, field was boggy and I nearly got stuck on the way out. Avoid at all costs!

I have not stayed here. We are next door in our caravan. Owner Keireon is a very nice person. Always helpfully to us, and will help us if we have a problem

Hello Alun and thanks for your review. Sorry you didn't like the facilities. We generally try to keep numbers on site to no more than 25 per toilet/shower, with often less on site than that. We occasionally get families abusing the amount of time they use them though. Like other larger sites, queues can happen from time to time. We hate to see queues as we much prefer people to be doing far more pleasant things! It stresses us out when we see them as well. As to pricing, we have a basic pitch price that is the same as every other commercial site in the area - most of the time far less - and don't charge for any extras such as dogs or awnings. As a result, we are generally far less expensive than commercial sites. So cannot agree with you on price. The price also hasn't changed for 9 years now. We also offer a lot of space as we have to keep a minimum of 6m between pitches and in most cases that is 8m or more. I am not sure the cheaper sites you refer to - which don't exist so close to the coast - offer quite so much room. I'm also pretty sure those cheaper sites would require you to bring your own toilet paper - we supply - and charge you for the privilege of using the shower. I'm also pretty sure those sites don't have free to use power showers.

Friendly site and friendly owners and well positioned for Manorbier beach. However, toilet and shower facilities inadequate for our needs, one male and one female chemical toilet and only one male and female portable shower cubicle. For the same price much better facilities are available in other campsites in the local area.
