I had a part malfunction (touch control panel) and after five years they offered to replace it without cost if I wrote a positive review here. I did initially write a positive review, but since that time (12/1/2021) I have not received the part and have received absolutely no response to follow up email requests from Proline Customer Service since December. Its almost 4 full months and still no part! Terrible customer service. I would never buy another product from this company.

Purchased my Proline range hood 7 years ago and have had incredible customer service from them. Had the front touch panel replaced once during the warranty period and now they are replacing the defective front panel again far after warranty expiration. With that level of support why buy from anywhere else! Update (4/4/2022) So although I wrote a glowing review above, it was in response to a promise that they would replace the failed parts. Well, here it is 12 months later and no resolution to my failed hood. I've not had a working hood for 12 months! The staff is very helpful and courteous but in the end could not replace a simple power supply. These parts should be fairly basic and after only 8 years, the hood is now completely a loss. There are better brands out there that I'd rather have purchased and I would steer clear of Proline. They will NOT support their product and your take a BIG risk buying one. Do not buy

I ordered and installed a PLJW 117.30 approximately 18 months ago. Overall the hood performs well, a bit noisy at low fan speed but it does pull all steam, smoke, fumes etc. from the top of the range. In fact it works so well I have to open the nearby window a bit for air flow, otherwise the hood pulls smoke out of the fireplace in the living room! My only issue is with the longevity of the LED bulbs (both need replacing) and the intensity is somewhat on the low end. It's a heavy unit so it took 2 of us to install it, and I had to enlarge the vent holes in the ceiling and roof - actually a good thing considering the added air flow. Expensive? A bit, but orders of magnitude better than the units from the Big Box outlets. It even works well as a vacuum! :-)
I purchased a Proline 30 wall hood 120.30 a year ago In Jan ( 2021) checked to see if it worked. I did not think to set the clock since the fan worked .The fan wasnt installed because my custom cabinets were delayed . When installed the clock couldnt keep the proper time. I contacted Proline and we went through trying different circuit boards , without success . That has been going on since April 2021. The last email was Jan 2022 saying they will let me know when they get the right circuit board in. Ive asked for them to to take one from another same model unit , since they refused to send me a whole replacement fan. They refused that suggestion. Maddening to think they will not make more of a commitment to a customer who paid $750. for their fan. I have rated it only one star because the fan is good ,but the added feature of a clock is useless,and the ability to replace the part needed very,very poor!
