Awesome little gym that specialises in Weightlifting and gymnastics. Josh is a current elitle weightlifter and technically excellent coach. Mel is a current Olympian and great gymnastics coach. Would highly recommend if you are keen on competing.
I've been training with HrdKAW for almost a year now. They run youth scholarship programs and have lifters spread across junior, senior and masters categories. The coaches are all talented athletes in their own right, but they aren't about their heralding their own achievements... they are so personally invested in each of us and our success. The coaching truly is top-notch and the individual programming for each athlete is thoughtful and well-designed (as far as I can tell from my own results and others at the club, that is!) They have made an effort to identify meaningful cues that make sense to me... different cues from some of their other athletes, that speak to my personal weaknesses, to help me develop on a technical level. When lockdown happened and coaching went online they were super responsive and thorough in responding to training videos with feedback and corrections. I've lifted at two competitions so far and the guidance and support they give us in the leadup to the competition and during the course of the competition event itself is second to none that I've seen from other clubs. The community of lifters who train at the club have a pretty awesome and supportive vibe going, it's great to be a part of - there's a reason they're growing so fast! They're about to expand into a larger facility because they've outgrown their original gym. Hoping to keep lifting with this club for many years to come!
