I'm giving Pat 3 stars because of his undoubted ability to sell, motivate and pursuade. However I feel it is important to also touch on his so caled "Christian side" and his "ministry". If a Google search is done on Pat, it shows a side that largely focuses on problems he has had in recent years. So, with that in mind, I'd like to give perspective from a Christian point of view. I am quite concerned about Pat Mesiti and his "church" work. In the 1980s, he was outspoken regarding his claimed "dangers" of rock music. The problem is that the points he raised were questionable to say the least, and judgemental in the extreme. Personally, the teaching did harm. It fuelled the cult like state that was the charismatic movement of the time. Pat went through some tough times and suffered humiliation, as can be seen from the Google search. I genuinely admired him for his repentance and always watched his work. He has passion which is a good thing and helped him through the whole process. Currently I am writing a book about my own life and as it happens, one chapter chronicals the whole dangerous mindset that existed back then. The belief that only a god of the charismatic style can get a person to Heaven is condemnation of anyone outside the cult. I've seen Pat's recent posts on Facebook and as said, concerned about his increasingly abusive behaviour towards people who dare disagree with anything he says. This side of him is dark and potentially dangerous. In my view, Pat would be far better off if he focused on his motivational and wealth coaching. The two sides of Pat simply don't match. He has much to offer business, but the outspoken spiritual side could affect his ability to be the person God actually wants him to be. I do wish Pat well. Passion is often in short supply and he has enough to fill several Olympic swimming pools. So I hope he will get on with business and not slip down the slope again. If you want passion, a powerful speaker and a good coach, then Pat's a decent choice. If you want any advice on Christianity, steer clear. Cheers
