Hello Luke, thanks for taking the time to leave a review as a supplier of ours for 18 months. We take our customer's data privacy extremely seriously and on balance we felt that Central Mailing Services didn't match up to our standards. We'll never shy away from protecting our customer's data, even if it means we have to part ways with some of our partners who don't share the same views.

Newton Print was a client of ours for many years until recently. We parted ways due to Tim being very unreasonable. Firstly he accused us of losing some of his print, when in actual fact he just didnt supply enough stock into us in the first place. This mailing was hand fulfilled so we didnt get any spoiled copies. The stock he delivered in was on a pallet and went straight to our hand fill team where it was broken down to fulfil the order. We ran out of print but still had packs to complete so we notified Tim as soon as we were aware. Instead of helping us resolve the issue he spent the next few weeks insisting we had lost his print and gave us no clear way of helping him to resolve the situation. Despite this a few weeks later we then did another mailing for Tim where we did have an issue where one of our machines double fed an address carrier sheet into one pack. As soon at Tim highlighted the issue, we asked Tim for address details of who received two carrier sheets and also what other address details they received behind theirs. We needed this information to complete a thorough investigation. Tim supplied us with 3 postcodes (not full addresses) but couldnt give us any more information. When looking into this 2 of the post codes didnt match any records we mailed too so we only had one potential record to look into. He then wouldnt supply us with the information of the other address they received for this one postcode for our investigation. Instead he demanded 250 to be refunded to him and said it would need to be paid within 24 hours. We feel this request was unreasonable and instead offered to re-mail to any affected records free of charge providing he could give us their full address details (as we hadnt been provided with this information for our investigation). On top of this we also offered him a further 200 credit added to his account as we believed this was good alternative to Tims unreasonable request of a 250 refund. We really believed this would make both parties happy and we could move forward. Unfortunately Tim came back and rejected the offer as he would only accept a refund. As we couldnt come to an agreement we parted ways. Tim left us a bad review so we also wanted people to know both sides of the story.

Newton Print were a good client from Dec 2018 to June this year. Sadly, the lack of understanding of the mailing process and over reaction by Tim, lead to us parting ways. We were accused of losing print, despite a clear audit trail and CCTV showing a sealed pallet arrive and then be hand broken down and be hand packed. Then a double carrier sheet, simply displaying name and address, mis feed in a mailing was taken to be a full on GDPR breach. It was an error, running at speed, two sheets of paper were drawn by the machine and not spotted by the double detect sensor. We apologised, gave a full account of the reason why etc. However, Tim would not change his position on the issue and become ever more hostile and eventually basically demanded 250 back within a certain number of hours. Sadly, we had to then stop our relationship with Newton Print, which is a shame. I have written this review to add balance as Tim jumped straight on our review platform, so as I always say, there are two sides to everything and I wanted to present the CMS side too.
