Went here to get a dress, spent a few minutes looking for the ones i wanted, then asked if I could go to the changing room. One minute into being in the changing room (about to take my clothes off to get changed..), one of the staff members opened the curtain to 'check how I was getting along'. I don't know if this is customary but if it is then that seems a bit bizarre, but either way I felt completely violated and shocked that someone would take it upon themselves to do that. Not sure if they thought I was stealing, but I don't think I showed any behaviour prior to this that would have suggested so - the only conclusion I can come to is that they judged me because of my age/appearance. Felt really wrong then paying 175 for a dress after feeling like I was treated differently to someone who might have been dressed better than me or been their usual type of customer. Disappointed as the shop is nice and had the potential of being a much better experience had I not been made to feel like they didn't want me there.

Always a great experience shopping in Iris, the staff are fabulous, so helpful but also give you the space to browse at your own pace. I love the selection of clothes and accessories. One of my favourite boutiques in London.
I am totally confused by the bad reviews here. I love this shop and think the staff are fantastic. I have been coming for years and really rate the manageress. She is great. The shop stocks well-known brands that are priced similarly everywhere else. I love having this kind of boutique on the Northcote Road.
I was disgusted with the customer service here and the company values as a whole. My mum is exempt from wearing a mask and she carries a exemption card with her in case she is asked to show it. Now keeping in mind I had my mask on, the shop assistants began whispering between one another and looking at my mum. I thought theyd come up, ask if she was unable to wear one and accept that she was exempt after my mum explained. After my mum had said she was exempt we were told that they cannot let her in the shop because its an independent establishment and the head office has set these rules out. This is illegal and discrimination. I suggest this company reevaluate their values and research the law before they lose more business. I wont be shopping here ever again.
