Hello Baze, we do not require masks while outside at Scovill Zoo. We follow the state of Illinois and CDC guidelines which are requiring masks while INSIDE buildings like the gift shop and Herpaquarium. The only reason we would recommend wearing a mask outside is if people are not able to keep socially distant. Thanks for trying our zoo and we hope you come back someday when masking is a happy memory.

Thanks for visiting, Cole. It seems prices are going up everywhere including animal feed and staffing. As an FYI, we do offer Free Admission Thursdays between June 2 and October 6. Thanks again for coming!

Nice little zoo. Pricey for the amount of animals to see.
Hello Crystal, thank you for giving us a try. You are correct, a few of the birds are still inside due to the avian influenza. The zoo takes the health of our animals seriously. We hope they will be out soon. Our free admission Thursdays at Scovill Zoo begin June 2 and run through October 6. You are correct, kids one and under are receive free admission and are free on the train. Kids 2 - 12 are $6.75 and adults are $8.75. St. Louis does receive multiple millions of dollars in tax revenue to keep their zoo free. It is a great zoo to visit and enjoy. Feel free to visit Scovill Zoo again on a free day.

Very unsatisfied most of the animals were put up because of influenza so did not get to see none of the birds, penguins and paid almost over $50 to get in! Best thing about the whole zoo is the train Ride that was $3 extra per person & the outdoor play gym which is free. Will not be returning to this zoo unless its a free day because its ridiculous! Plus to top it off they charge $6.50 for a two-year-old. But you can go to St. Louis zoo and its free for everyone.
