The restaurant tried to serve me an entree that was served to another table and sent back. They took it back to the kitchen and tried to pass it off as a new plate of food. I asked the server if this was a new plate of food or the one that the table next to us sent back. She was very embarrassed and said it was not a new plate of food. The manager, Kevin, came over and said it was the last piece of hamachi collar they had so they re served it to me. He said it was a bad call on his part. We left at that point since I felt that if they were going to serve me previously served food, I could not trust the sanitary conditions at the restaurant.

Someone making average money did something stupid and went to a fancy restaurant and had the best time of their life. I'm the "someone". This is WAY out of my price range. Way out of my normal palate/cuisine. But it was worth every last penny. It got me to enjoy things I hate: jicama, artichoke, dairy (the dairy hated me though). If you have the chance to do something financially stupid, do it here.

Just had dinner with my family here on Christmas Eve. The central theme for the menu was Black Truffles. I was prepared for pretty much the typical Beverly Hills fare. Boy was I wrong. The first dish was an oyster and apple pallet cleanser which just blew my mind. From the first bite I knew it was one of the best things I've ever eaten. This sounds totally exaggerated, but I mean every word. Each dish was exquisite. I wasn't drinking any alcohol, and my family members who had the wine pairings kept saying how incredible the pairings were. We're literally all in the hotel room now gushing about it. The quality doesn't stop there. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming while also cool and fun. The complete lack of pretense really sealed the deal. The staff were some of the best I've experienced. Our lead server was so cool and fun, the sommeliers were also terrific. Everyone was so knowledgeable about the food, the wine, even the soda they recommended for me was delicious. I mean it, this was all around the best meal I've ever had. Each dish was perfectly portioned. The flavors were robust without being heavy and overpowering. The foie-gras dish gave me a complete mouth-gasm. I'm no food critic, but I've eaten all over the world and this just owned it all. Will definitely go back.

I was hoping to be very impressed with this, but this was by far my least favorite Michelin restaurant thus far. The restaurant was so tiny, and the food was just not at the level of flavor I expected. Sadly disappointed.
