Awful decision to go here. Rooms werent ready on time and then 24 hours later still werent ready. Got promised upgrades and compensation but next day we were told they couldnt do that. No apology either. Awful customer service.
Not a 5 star experience at all! Out of all the 5 star hotels I stayed world wide this so far is the worst experience! Already at check in there was a wait for over an hour with hardly any staff helping the incoming guests. If that wasn't enough, I couldn't check in through their QR code only to learn it was because they didn't have the room I reserved and paid for! On top of that no apology was given until I made a scene but even then no accommodation was made to correct the situation! The hotel never personally reached out with a text message checking if there was anything I needed or about my arrival time. The concierge was giving me some silly story about how the room type I reserved was simply "requested" when in my reservation it clearly stated that's the room I paid for and they have it away to someone else! They never offered a return or discount of any type or even an upgrade only that I have to check into that type of room the following day. So an extra inconvenience. The room I received was ancient and not at all what I wanted. There were missing items from the bar and there wasn't even a bottle opener. The curtains were dirty, carpet clearly needs replacement. Honestly immense disappointment. I regret I have chosen the Venetian and the Palazzo over all the other great choices in Vegas. I've stayed in several hotels in town and by far this is the worst experience. All of that is not to mention that it was during my birthday and most hotels always try to do something extra nice, but I guess not the Palazzo. Will never stay again and will not recommend to anyone for sure.
We chose the Venetian for our girlfriend's Bachelorette weekend. While the suites / pool / gym / restaurants / casino / resort are spacious and clean, there are certainly resorts we've stayed at on the Vegas Strip that provide more modern and accommodating amenities for significantly more reasonable pricing. Really what you're paying for here is the "Venetian" name. There were basic things like the fridge being fully stocked with auto-charge alcohol and not allowing any space for refrigerated medication, for storing breastmilk, for our leftovers from the restaurants, like Lavo, where we spent great money at in the resort-- and let's be honest for any booze you bring in yourself. Their solution? Rent an additional fridge for $40 + tax a day. It felt unethical to be denied of such a simple and basic offering you'd find in any other resort. Other little things like updated charging ports for devices were also unavailable, which is pretty surprising to see in such a highly reputable establishment. The list goes on but trust us- for what you're paying, the absence of these basic modern amenities makes it hard to want to recommend it to friends / family. Go to Caesar's instead.
