This was my first time going and it was a hot and humid day, but it was nice to walk around. A few exhibits were not on display, but they have a board at the box office that tells you which ones were temporarily closed. The cool (air conditioned) spots are inside the fish and reptile houses. The only issue I had was the website mentioned student discounts, but when I bought my ticket at the front, I was told that it was no longer an offer. It is definitely a place that I would visit again.
I love this place! Always a fun time to walk around and look at all the wonderful animals. My favorite are the Jiraffes and the elephant. They also have snacks at the half way point and some great vending machines by the giraffe exhibit.
I traveled all the way from Ft. Hood just for them to tell me at the gate that they cant let me in because of a charity event. I was so disgusted!! I arrived at 4:01 and she told me they cant sell me a ticket and the park close at 5. This is the way you treat a veteran?!!! Im so disappointed and for this I will never return again!!
