Ridiculous. First visit went in for exam. My 70 plus dad went in for some issues with pain in his head they thought might be caused by ears. Dr. Looked in ears and disregarded our concern about pain elsewhere. Said ears looked clear. He prescribed some drops and told us to follow up to ses if helped. Receptionist was very confused for us checking out asking us what doctor said and I finally said go ask him. Wow. Then I checked dads billing from Medicare and they charged him for tubes in the ear procedure! Can you saw Medicare fraud?!?! I called and requested they reverse charges. They blamed it on a nurse that was no longer there. Anyway. Warning to check your insurances charges. I checked recently and it was not reversed yet. I asked for follow up but apparently incorrect billing is not their priority unless you owe them money.

Our practice continually strives to provide quality care, so we thank you for voicing your concerns. Although our practice has been successful at helping hundreds of members in our community, we are sad to hear about your experience.

My daughter-in-law went to see Dr. Acevedo very recently. While he himself was very nice and professional, his office staff is arrogant and rude. My daughter-in-law asked for a cost estimate for the minor surgery the doctor recommended. Although the office contacted her to confirm the appointment several times and to suggest surgery dates, when the issue of the overall costs had to be addressed, they went completely silent, misleading the doctor that they cannot contact the patient. Then, when pressed, they refused to provide an overall cost estimate for the procedure, and sent my sick daughter-in-law to separately inquire for each and every procedure separately by calling 5-6 different phone numbers. Each of these places could not provide any reasonable cost estimate at all. So, overall, be prepared to be mislead and ripped off financially by an aggressive and arrogant office staff. Since the Dr. should be responsible for the way his office operates, his rating should be the lowest possible, regardless of his medical competence.

Dr. Acevedo is highly competent as a surgeon and the kindest person you’ll ever meet. He removed my thyroid several years ago with a very rare form of cancer. His staff is caring and also competent. I fully recommend his practice. He saved my life!! Eternally grateful!!
