Review Change: 3/3/21. I spoke with one of the managers and they are aware that the verbiage at the bottom of the statement should be removed. Apparently, according to state laws, when a rate is locked in you must also be enrolled in automatic delivery. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- OLD REVIEW 1. False information on their electronic statement. 2. No verbal communication over the phone on auto delivery. 3. Poor customer service. - When we locked in our rate back in August, we were never told verbally over the phone that we were also being locked into an auto delivery schedule, which means in the middle of July, they'll come and top off your tank and leave you with a bill (which doesn't have your custom rate). - At the very bottom of our emailed statement, it reads: "To be taken off automatic delivery please fax or send certified letter." This is false information, because: - When I emailed customer service regarding being taken off automatic delivery, they told me I cannot be removed from automatic delivery because it is in the contract. - We've called 3 times on the above, and each time we get a response: "We'll look into it." - Don't trust all the 5 star reviews. If you look closely at them, many of those reviewers only have 1 review. Meaning: 1. They were indeed so happy with Daniels that they decided to leave a review but never reviewed anything else on Google. 2. Or, friends and family of this company rated them five stars. If you decide to go with Daniels, please ask as many questions as possible and take the name and time of the person you are speaking to. Also, read all of the fine print in the contract, and question them on it. If a verbal agreement is made, ask them to initial it. If they call us back and fix our concerns, perhaps I will change my review.
Mr Munoz, During any severe snowstorm, like the one we had last week, many of our customers have urgent fuel delivery and heating service emergencies. We are being considerate of everyone, not just our drivers who have enough challenges driving in hazardous weather conditions, when we request clear access to a homeowners service outlets. It is unreasonable and inconsiderate to expect our service people to engage in snow removal. We always have to think of other customers who will be inconvenienced if our service people are delayed unnecessarily. Those customers, too, often have family members who need to make appointments. We pride ourselves on our 96 years of responsive, courteous and ethical customer service.

I normally do not post public reviews but this by far is the worst customer experience that I ever have had, period. I have ordered many oil deliveries but when a driver / oil technician feels the need to chide you for failure to clear a path in the snow to make ease of a delivery; threaten to hold out said delivery but then act the martyr that he has done you a favor and call you your first name when you do not know this person from Adam and say, were good. I do not appreciate that kind of rudeness as a paying customer and disrespect on my property. I am pretty sure, if I showed up and let my frustrations out; it would not go so well with my employer. To add further insult, I proceed to send a note to their customer service team (now granted it may have been with edge as this individual also had the conversation in earshot with my family and showed up making my wife late for an appointment, so I was frustrated); I was told that is that expectation that I clear paths and that many customers do this and that this can be exhausting for the technicians to do their jobs especially if they do these deliveries 20 to 50 times a day. Well, okay. My point is the disrespect on my property. Bottom-line: If you like to be told that you did the wrong thing and that you should accommodate all aspects of the service provider (even though you have paid thousands of dollars in terms of giving them business in the past ); followed by attitude across the board, I guess this is the right company for your oil and service delivery. No thanks, I will take my business elsewhere.
Biggest reason for going with DanielsDaniels reputation and word of mouth. Our request for additional tutorial to run the system was promptly responded to. A pleasure to witness how well the crew worked together.

We cant express how thankful we are that Dave from Colchester came out for an emergency call tonight to fix our broken furnace. We had no heat and he had to replace a high temperature limit switch. He had the parts with him and was so fast to replace. We had heat and were up and running in no time. Again thanks Dave for taking this emergency call and being so professional and courteous. We really appreciate your help.
Mr. Devito. Thank you for what is a most distressing review of our company which has, and continues to have, outstanding reviews of our performance. We do not make it our policy to discuss your relationship with us on a social platform. I will respond to your concerns by letter which will also include a full refund of your account credit and also a full credit of the charges for two service plans. Our concern is that we do not have any record of recent - service or activity - that suggests current issues with our company. We employ a full staff of real people who are always happy to speak with you about your concerns. We are most unhappy that you had to express what could have been resolved by a phone call via this review platform. It appears that you do not agree with our charges for service and the true culture of what our Company offers and stands for. All of our policies, coverages, prices and terms and conditions, Service Plans and contracts are presented to you clearly and in compliant language. We understand that you have issues with them. However, we do not change these for any one customer. They are the same for all of our customers. The value and quality of a company or product is reflected by its prices. Quality costs more. Our cost to provide services to you is dictated by our cost of doing business. Having the resources to provide our customers with the services they require - whenever they need it - does include trucks, manpower, etc.. Daniels Energy provides all of our services at industry standard and competitive rates. If you are uncomfortable with ours, you are free to make a new choice.

This company will gouge you. They over charged me for a year and I had over $2,000 in a credit with them. I have asked multiple times for my money back. They continue to deliver oil and "use" my credit. Before this I was sold insurance by them for my water heater, when I tried to use the it conveniently did not cover it. Then they tried to charge me 3k to replace my water heater it was almost $1,700 in labor for a 3 hour job. When I asked how is this justified I was told, "They have trucks to pay for". I pay extra for a yearly cleaning and price lock, but they never call to set up appointments. Dumping them as soon as I can get my money back. Daniel's is like a bad gym membership, they get you on board with promises of service, then deliver none of it and make it hard to break free.
