Son(Scott) is a great Man to deal with. Would do business with him anytime. But the father is " Old South" minded. Last encounter with the far sealed the deal that I will never but another car from this business as long as he is a part of it .
While the staff did appear to be very friendly and personable, I am honestly very disappointed in the experience I've had after purchasing an automobile from this company. After less than a week, my SUV cut completely off on me while driving, luckily I was able to make it out of traffic and to the side of the road.... However, had I been on the interstate or in any kind of high speed traffic I could've been in a much worse situation than being stuck in a new/used car on the side of the road.... I called Mills Capitol to inform them of the issue and was told that I could take the car to a shop they always used and that they'd "get me taken care of".... Turns out getting me taken car of didn't mean what I naively assumed.... I ended up spending over 300 dollars to get a fuel pump replaced, after spending $5000 to purchase the car less than a week before.... A few days later, I go outside to find that one of my power windows had fallen completely down.... Granted the situation could be much worse, my problem however is, while I am aware that as a car salesman, your job is to sell cars, and I am also aware of the "as is" clause associated with purchasing used cars, there is no way that you can tell me that these people were unaware of any of the problems I am having with this car.... I refuse to believe that this car has run PERFECTLY (as stated by the salesman) up until a FEW DAYS after driving it off the lot, and then for the window to just fall??? The word is PRE-EXISTING, and a good person who cares about the customer, and future business endeavors would have been honest and upfront about what was wrong with the car before allowing you to make a purchase. I am young, and I feel as though the salesman took advantage of that fact. I feel as though I've been had, although the problems I'm having are minimal, I would have had so much more respect for this business had they been honest with me about what I was purchasing. Out of all of the vehicles I've owned (all being used) this is the ONLY one I've had issues with. I will not be returning to Mills Capitol for anything, or referring anyone to these people.... You shouldn't feel "had" after making a car purchase, and that is exactly the way I feel!
